Stacey and Sean’s wedding was a great experience all around. They are a fun, loving couple who’s parents had only met once before the wedding! It was so nice to see the families get along so well and truly have a wonderful time together. The ceremony was at St. Peter’s Parish, and we got some beautiful images inside this grand church. We then headed over to Senate Park to take some portraits and family photos. Stacey’s mom had the fun idea of having the bride channel her inner Marilyn Monroe and pose for the iconic image….it came out fabulous! The reception was at 101 Constitution Ave, a very unique rooftop location. Haute on the Hill catered the party and English Rose Gardens provded the flowers. The challenge to photographing this wedding was the weather. Even though we had a great couple, and loving families, keeping focus in such heat can be quite difficult for everyone. Despite the high temps, everyone was really easygoing, the party was a blast, and we even got a lighting show to end the night.

Karen is one of the very talented ladies over at Bravo! Events by Design. When we met to plan out her day she described her party as being very simple and understated, but I knew it was going to be beautiful and a lot of fun. At first it looked as though the thunder storms were going to put a damper on the day, but as soon as we left for the church the skies cleared up and it turned out to be lovely day for a lovely bride.
Gerard and Karen clearly have a lot of fun together and always seem to be making each other laugh. That kind of playfulness is exactly the kind of energy I like to play off when trying to create a snapshot of the day. The sunset party at Mrs. K’s Toll House was intimate and provided a great atmosphere for the lively and energetic Trinidadian music. As with all Bravo! parties I end up having as much fun as the guests.
