Pablo hails from Uruguay and came to the United States when he was 19. While studying marine biology in college, Pablo took photography as an elective. He soon found himself spending more time on photography, so he switched gears and focused 100% on his future profession.
After a year of assisting a local photographer and shooting for another, in 2001 Pablo sought out Freed Photography. Upon examining Pablo’s impressive portfolio, Neal and Carla immediately were drawn to his artistic eye and unique style. Pablo enjoys shooting traditional portraiture, but he particularly favors the fast, candid, photojournalistic approach.
In his six years at Freed, Pablo has studied and learned volumes from Neal and Bryan. By far, his favorite subject is people, and he prefers weddings. He likes interacting with happy people and documenting their “day in the life.” Every wedding tells a story – like a visual novel with a beginning, middle, and end – and Pablo draws on his journalistic skills and keen eye to capture each chapter of the day.
Pablo is married and lives in Silver Spring, Maryland. Together they have three daughters that will no doubt keep them on their feet and their photo albums full.
